Neuriva is a brain supplement that helps support your brain performance. According to the data available, Neuriva was developed to enhance:
Schiff, a well-recognized supplement company, developed this supplement. But does this mean Neuriva is a great supplement?
Neuriva brain supplement contains only 2 nootropics:
- Coffee fruit extract
Coffee Fruit Extract (100 mg)
The coffee fruit extract is an extract of a coffee bean and contains chemicals that can protect brain cells.
While whole coffee fruit extract seems potent for increasing focus and clarity (even though only a few studies have been done), we don’t know much about the extra that is found in Neuriva.
Since we don’t know how this extract is made, it is hard for us to judge its effectiveness.
Phosphatidylserine (100 mg)
Phosphatidylserine is a phospholipid found in our brains. Its primary role is to support cell regeneration.
Its levels generally decline with age, so supplementing it may enhance your cognition.
100 mg is a great dosage.
Other Compounds & Fillers
It is a shame that such a brand created Neuriva capsules, which are not completely filled with high-quality nootropics. Therefore, to fill up space, they had to add a few (otherwise completely unnecessary) fillers to the formula:
- Rice bran (helps to connect powders)
- Hypromellose (vegan gelatin alternative)
- Carrageenan is an additive used to thicken, emulsify, and preserve ingredients
- Titanium dioxide (another filler)
- Pectin (thickening agent)
- Microcrystalline (bulking agent)
- Silicon dioxide (flow agent)
Sadly, the mentioned fillers are completely useless and potentially harmful. This fact dramatically decreases the quality of this formulation.
The recommended daily dosage of Neuriva is 1 capsule.
According to research, 1 capsule (100 mg) of Phosphatidylserine is quite optimal.
On the other hand, we don’t know the optimal daily dosage Coffee fruit extract.
Therefore, it is hard to make a conclusion if 1 capsule is safe or enough to achieve optimal results.
Please consult your doctor before supplementing it.
Neuriva Side Effects
Due to the optimal amount of Phosphatydlserine in this formula, we don’t see why it would cause any adverse effects.
On the other hand, the combination of an under-researched coffee fruit extract and a whole list of fillers could be problematic.
Until more is known about this formulation, we suggest avoiding this supplement.
