Zhou Driftoff Review

Zhou Nutrition is a popular brand in the nootropic industry. They are not only specialized in developing sleep supplements but offer many other nootropic supplements for different purposes.

Zhou Driftoff is their most popular sleep supplement. It was designed to help you fall asleep faster and ensure better sleep.

To understand if it works, let’s first look at the ingredients of this stack and then check out the possible benefits and side effects.

zhou driftoff review

Driftoff Ingredients

Driftoff supplement contains the following ingredients:

  • Valerian Extract, 150 mg
  • GABA, 100 mg
  • Tryptophan, 100 mg
  • Chamomile Extract, 100 mg
  • Passion Flower Extract, 100 mg
  • Lemon Balm Extract, 100 mg
  • Hops Extract, 100 mg
  • Melatonin, 2 mg

Valerian Extract

Valerian Extract is a nootropic that should reduce anxiety, promote a more calm state of mind, and help you fall asleep faster. Even though research shows some promising effects of Valerian Extract, the studies are not very reliable.

To confirm the real results that Valerian Extract has on our sleep, we must wait until some more reliable studies see the light.

GABA is an essential neuroamine in human brains, which is critical for the relaxation of both our body and mind. So, it’s great that Zhou Nutrition decided to include it in the stack.

However, the problem with GABA supplementation is that GABA itself has issues with crossing the blood-brain barrier and reaching the brain. Sadly, supplementing GABA orally won’t help as much as we would want to.

Therefore, it doesn’t reach its full potential in helping us sleep better.

L-Tryptophan is an essential amino acid which after absorbing converts into 5-HTP and then to serotonin, melatonin, and vitamin B6. Melatonin is a crucial sleep hormone.

Supplementing L-Tryptophan might help us fall asleep faster, improve mood, and help people with sleep problems. However, the optimal dosage of L-Tryptophan has not been determined yet.

Chamomile Extract

It seems practical to include Chamomile Extract in a supplement for sleep. Chamomile is a herb that is widely used in teas, and somehow people think it is the right thing to consume if you want to relax.

The effects of Chamomile Extract taken orally hasn’t been researched enough to say it is useful for improving your sleep.

Passion Flower Extract

Passion Flower Extract has a similar issue as Chamomile Extract – its effects just aren’t scientifically proven.

Lemon Balm Extract

Lemon Balm Extract is a herb most used in multi-herb combination products. Supplementing this herb has shown some promising effects in reducing the symptoms of anxiety, improving sleep in people having sleep issues, and also in reducing stress in healthy adults. [2]

Hops Extract

There aren’t many scientifical studies made about the effects of Hops Extract on the human body. However, there are some indications that it promotes relaxation and calms your mind.

Melatonin is made in the pineal gland in our brain. It is most known for its effects on our sleep. It helps us fall asleep faster, regulates our sleep patterns, and overall improves the quality of our sleep.

Zhou Driftoff nootropic stack contains a synthetic version of melatonin, which we do not recommend supplementing.

Zhou Driftoff nootropic stack was developed to:

  • calm your mind
  • ease restlessness
  • relax you
  • help you sleep deeper and wake up feeling restful

Driftoff is a herbal, natural supplement that is gluten and soy-free, non-GMO, and vegetarian-friendly. It works as a relaxing agent and also reduces the stress that sometimes causes problems with sleep.

Did you ever think about the vicious circle when it comes to sleep issues? We are stressed out because of work, our children, a faster lifestyle and many other things. We overthink and go to sleep with our heads full of puzzles waiting to be figured out. And so we can’t fall asleep!

When we finally do, every little voice or quiver wakes us up. We are missing the deep sleep. We wake up tired and with a foggy feeling. So after a while, we start to stress out because of the lack of sleep. What is wrong with us? Why can’t we just sleep normally? Well, here comes the famous vicious circle or paradox – stressing about not sleeping only causes us to sleep even less.

That is why we certainly have to start working our way through the stress in our lives. But can Driftoff help us?

We are not so sure.

Side Effects

Due to the relatively low dosages of all ingredients in this supplement, you should not worry about adverse side effects.

However, it is recommended to consult your doctor before you start supplementing Driftoff.

Driftoff Dosage

As recommended by the Zhou Nutrition, you should take two capsules with a glass of water 20-30 minutes before bedtime.

Where To Buy It?

If you decided to give Zhou Driftoff nootropic stack a try, you could buy it on their official website or Amazon.

However, we currently do not recommend supplementing Driftoff.

Here is why.

Our Recommendation

Is Driftoff nootropic stack going to help you sleep better? It may, but we are not convinced.

The formula contains some great nootropics, but it is underdosed, which makes it ineffective. Many people report that it simply doesn’t work.

And we would agree with that. So, is there an alternative that we recommend?

Absolutely! Click on the button below and check our favorite sleep supplement.
